Initial Situation

Declining margins in the commodity business demanded cost optimization of highly scaled business processes. The technological basis was to be radically rethought. Approaches were sought to increase process efficiencies, while at the same time increasing the speed of all customer interactions and positioning the company more flexibly for a changeable future.
